When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An artist
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to play volleyball, do crafty things, hang out with my dogs, and bake things.
Who is someone you look up to and why?
My parents. My dad is witty, imaginative, and great at connecting with people, and my mom is creative, thoughtful, and amazing at building beautiful things. Both of them have always encouraged me, supported me, and helped me become the person and engineer I am today.
What simple thing still blows your mind?
I am always blown away thinking about the number of tiny little parts that go into building just about anything. When you really think about it, it’s completely crazy how many pieces have to come together to create a bridge, or a new road, or a plane, etc.
What color describes your personality?
Green! I don’t know that I have an explanation…I just like the color
If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?
A beach! Fun fact - when I was younger, my family took lessons from a professional sand sculptor. My dad and I both got into it, and have competed in amateur competitions!
