What simple thing still blows your mind?
I find it fascinating that I can feel such powerful emotions and yet still not be able to find the words to express it clearly. And because of that, you can’t know if others have ever felt this exact combination of emotions.
What color describes your personality?
I try to be a positive influence on everyone’s mood, so I would go with yellow. But not that super bright yellow that hurts your eyes to look at. More like a honey.
If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?
I don’t know if I have an exact destination in mind since I would love to travel the world. But I do know that I want to try Van Life at some point. It’s so interesting to me that people have all of their belongings in a van that has a kitchen/bathroom/bedroom. The nomadic lifestyle would be a great way to see the world!
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was younger, I wanted to be an astronaut. I saw a few missions on TV and remember thinking how cool it would be to be in their shoes. I also wanted to be an author since I enjoy writing short stories. Both of these dreams, although not true now, could always come true later!
What’s a quote you choose to live by?
There are countless quotes that I use as inspiration for my goals in life, but one that resonates with me in this part of my life is “You can’t do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good that you can do”. I can’t find the original author, but I use this quote for various segments of my life. Sometimes it’s smiling at a stranger, or being the best I can be at my job, but its main intention is regarding being more eco-friendly in my lifestyle. Always strive for better!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My favorite things to enjoy are reading new books, learning new coding languages, hiking, camping, bicycling, and pretty much anything else outside.
Who is someone you look up to and why?
Much like when young girls get told “you can’t do that” or “that’s too difficult”, Elon Musk has been a pioneer for proving those people wrong. He has these crazy ideas and finds ways to make them come true. He understands that his knowledge is limited, but is always eager to learn from his employees. From both his successes as well as his failures. Elon finds new ways to innovate and I find him truly inspiring.
