Job Role Descriptions

Setup

(Friday and Saturday)

  • Find someone in an Event Staff shirt to direct you

  • Help arrange tables in correct layout

  • Place tablecloths on all tables

  • Place drop cloths where needed

  • Place table markers with booth names/numbers

  • Set up easels and signs

  • Distribute supplies to booths

  • Help booths bring their supplies into Century II


Booth Volunteer

  • Receive instructions from booth leader on the specific activity

  • Help kids with the activity

  • You will receive your specific booth assignment upon check-in


Lunch Volunteer

  • Relieve booth volunteers to allow them to eat lunch

  • Float between booths as needed


Clean Up

  • Pick up all tablecloths, drop cloths, and other supplies

  • Tear down easels and flags

  • Collect all signs

  • Load supplies for transport out of Century II


Floater

  • Walk throughout Expo and answer questions attendees might have (or direct questions to people who might know the answer)

  • Help out at various booths as needed

  • Give booth volunteers bathroom and lunch breaks

  • May be asked to wear a walkie-talkie to communicate with Volunteer Coordinator, Booth Coordinator, or Media Contact

  • Help direct any media personnel to event staff via walkietalkie

  • Help flow attendees to less busy areas of the event to prevent overcrowding


Welcome Table/Greeter

  • Welcome attendees as they arrive

  • Distribute goodie bags to kids

  • Distribute maps to adults

  • Keep track of number of attendees using a digital counter (both kids and total people if possible)

  • Explain that families can start wherever and move around as they wish
